Another cute Sarah-ism

This morning on the way to school, Sarah looked at the clock in the van & was disturbed---she thought we'd be late.  (we weren't!)  She told me that if she was late too many days, they would count the tardies as 1 absence & then she wouldn't get the "Great Attendance Award" at the end of the year.

 

At first I thought she was describing the award as 'great', so I tried to figure out what the prize is....and then it hit me, she was calling the award a "Great Attendance Award".

 

I thought that was cute.  I suppose anytime you can't remember the right word for something, you can just substitute another one for it.  After all, great...perfect....it's all the same, right?
