Snow!

Oh boy!  We have SNOW today.  It's rare for us to see any snow at all in Texas, so we get really excited about it when it falls.  Ok, so our snow is not usually "real" snow.  It's just sleet that piles up in the crevices of outdoor furniture.  Today I saw some actual flakes, though, so it's not all just ice.  As you can see, it's really piling up!!  (grin)

I found this HUGE patch of it on some cardboard on Larry's trailer.  (snicker, snicker)

Here's what the back yard looks like at this point.  This is after several hours of snowfall.  The little white things in the air on this picture are snowflakes still falling.  Wow...it's pretty thick out there.  (giggle)

Just across the fenceline in our neighbor's yard, I saw this.  They must be working on putting a snowman together.  They might even be able to get one that's nearly ankle high!  (tee hee)

I'm glad I'm home for the night.  There's no telling how dangerous the roads might be.  See?  (ha ha!)

So there ya have it.....snow in Texas.  It's a beautiful thing isn't it?

You should have come see your Mama.  Our yard was completely white with snow on the pine trees and bare branches of trees and all over the ground.  Up on our hill it was really pretty.  Then by tonight, it was all melted by the drizzle of rain that came.  Tonight it is just damp and really cold!  Just proves once more that God is the best artist by far.    Mom

If you really want to see some snow, come to Ohio! We've had FOUR snows already this season with some more (IIRC) in the forecast in the next several days.

LOL

Oh....and go see your mama! ;-)
